The recently transformed Snetterton circuit is preparing for its biggest event of the season as the MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship arrives in Norfolk this weekend (5/6/7 July) for its annual round.

The title charge is led by defending champion Shane ‘Shakey’ Byrne as he continues his quest to become the most successful rider in the history of the series and achieve an unprecedented fourth title. However an international field of riders including Josh Brookes and Ryuichi Kiyonari plus 2013 race winners Alex Lowes and James Ellison, are all gunning for glory in the two feature races on Sunday.

Byrne said: “Snetterton is a circuit I really, really like and I enjoy riding there more since the redevelopment so I am looking forward to the weekend. We are in a better position having done the official test there last week and as always I will go into the weekend focused on getting my job done and that is to win races.”

Local riders will also targeting Snetterton success as Cambridge’s Luke Mossey and Norwich’s Jake Newstead line up in the thrilling Motorpoint British Supersport Championship whilst Cambridge’s Jordan Simpkin leads the Pirelli National Superstock 600 Championship standings ahead of this weekend.
