After several years enjoying his 2010 model, Bath rugby team winger Matt Banahan, has decided to upgrade his Yamaha WR450F enduro machine to a brand new 2013 fuel-injected version.

As well as his passion for rugby, the 6ft 7in, 18st Jerseyman who has also represented England, harbours a love of off-road sport and in particular motocross. When not throwing ‘odd-shaped’ balls around the pitch, Matt like nothing more than throwing his (sizeable) leg over his WR450F and going for a blast with friend and long-time Dirt Bike Rider contributor, Geoff Walker.

Matt recently returned to local authorised Yamaha dealer Fowlers of Bristol to collect his new machine, tweeting: ‘went and picked up a little toy for the summer thanks to Fowlers Bristol and Yamaha…’

Karl Radley, Marketing coordinator for Yamaha Motor UK said ‘We’re really pleased to have an ambassador like Matt on board. Apart from his obvious physical size which makes him very noticeable as a public figure, his passion and enthusiasm for motorcycles also provides us with a perfect platform to engage with audiences outside of the two-wheeled arena.’
