The UK importer of Royal Enfield Motorcycles, Watsonian Squire, has announced that it has stopped importing the Indian built bikes into the UK after 14 years as the distributor. Watsonian Squire has decided to concentrate on other parts of their business.

In 1999 Watsonian Squire took over distribution of 100 year old motorcycle manufacturer in the UK and with its classic British designs rapidly re-established the historic brand in its spiritual home.

Watsonian Squire is believed to be concentrating on the production of sidecars and luggage trailers where they remain a leading specialist, supplying a wide range of parts and accessories.

The Royal Enfield factory is reported to be in talks with representatives from a new UK importer so the brand may receive a reprieve.
