The MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship returns to Oulton Park over the May Bank Holiday weekend (5/6/7 May) and the Liverpool-based Quattro Plant Kawasaki team will be targeting success at their home round with Gary Mason and Frenchman Freddy Foray.

The new technical regulations has given John Jameson’s team the opportunity to challenge at the sharp end of the field and in the opening race of the season at Brands Hatch the team scored their best ever finish of fifth place.

The May Bank Holiday weekend will now feature three races after the second MCE BSB race was postponed due to conditions at Brands Hatch giving the Quattro Plant Kawasaki team an extra chance to shine. Now heading to their home round both Mason and Foray are confident of success.

Mason said: “A team’s home round is always a big one; there are more supporters and like in any other sport you want to win. There have been lots of positives from the first two rounds and the fifth place at Brands Hatch proves that despite not having as much testing as everyone else we are catching up. The Kawasaki has been on the podium before so with the team’s efforts it shouldn’t be long before we break into the top three. It has been a great start and at Oulton Park with three races we have a really good chance of an even better result.” Foray added: “It will be my first race at Oulton Park, but I have watched videos and I can’t wait to get started. I think we can have a good result because I am learning the bike all the time and we will be trying very hard to get three strong finishes at the team’s home round.”

Oulton Park hosts the third round of the MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship on 5/6/7 May.  Weekend tickets are available in advance for just £31 with free entry for children 12 and under.  For more information or to book visit www.oultonpark.co.uk or call 0843 453 4000
