Kawasaki is exhibiting at the world famous Goodwood Festival of Speed for the very first time this year.

The event – running from June 28 to July 1 – is a mecca for petrol heads of all descriptions and is a logical place to see the latest range of Kawasaki machinery according to Aimee Osmond of Kawasaki Motors UK.

“The Festival of Speed is an internationally recognised event and it has always promoted two wheels as well as four. We are delighted to attend this year and the Kawasaki stand will show a cross-section of our latest models, as well as adding a few welcome surprises. In addition we also hope that Shane Byrne and other Kawasaki British Superbike riders will tackle the famous twisting Festival of Speed course on their Ninja ZX-10R machines”.

Located in the corporate exhibition area across the track from Goodwood House itself, the variety of motorcycles on display covers the majority of biking bases according to Osmond.

“For the huge number of power hungry enthusiasts attending, we have the world’s fastest accelerating standard production bike, the ZZR1400. Also, for those with wanderlust, the new highly-acclaimed Versys 1000 adventure sport machine. Underpinning that there will be the road going version of our World Superbike race winning Ninja ZX-10R and, for entry-level commuting fun and freedom, the ER-6 range of bikes.”

Adding a final element of stand attraction, Kawasaki will also be celebrating forty years of one of the most iconic motorcycles ever made at Goodwood with a display dedicated to the fortieth anniversary of the Z1 900, a machine credited with changing the face of motorcycling, as Osmond concludes.

“We will have an original 1972 Z1 at the Festival of Speed alongside its great, great Grandson, the amazing Street fighter styled Z1000. It’s going to a great event and we hope customers join us on the Kawasaki stand to celebrate a shared passion for performance”
