ducati 2 The first Ducati clothing and accessory airport store outside of Italy has opened in Terminal 1 at Manchester Airport.

To celebrate the stores opening, the airport has put together an impressive promotional video and competition world first, showcasing the opening of the store.

The stunt was filmed at night to resemble the spectacular night time viewing of the Qatar MotoGP, with Fry racing through an empty shopping concourse and carrying out a series of test runs on Runway 2 hitting speeds of over 180mph. Fry said of the stunt: “It’s not every day you get an offer to test a Ducati bike out on a full length runway. I jumped at the chance to be part of the project and to get to ride the bike on the airfield at night.”

Beth Brewster, Retail Director for MAG, said: “It’s a bit different for an airport but we believe it’s the right audience as there’s a large international contingent using Terminal 1.”

To celebrate the opening, Manchester Airport and Ducati are offering a fantastic competition prize with two exclusive Paddock Passes to the Qatar MotoGP in 2014 up for grabs.
