This season’s Honda NSF100 Cup will be held over two race weekends with the first taking place at Zuera in Spain next weekend on 28-29 July.

The young riders taking part in this year’s double-header Honda NSF100 Cup are aged between 10 and 13 and come from all over Europe – plus one rider from Argentina – to compete at the Spanish circuit, which is located just 30km north of Zaragoza.

The series is named after the Honda NSF100, a small four-stroke racing machine manufactured by HRC (Honda Racing Corporation), which has been designed as the perfect tool to introduce younger riders to road racing. Each competing rider in the 2012 Honda NSF100 Cup will receive a special ‘surprise’ commemorative gift package from HRC in Japan.

Next weekend’s racing at Zuera is intended to introduce riders from each country to an international level of motorcycle racing, with a view to finding the racing champions of the future. The second part of this year’s Honda NSF100 Cup will take place at the Cheb circuit in the Czech Republic on 8-9 September.

The Honda NSF100 Cup will again be run under the regulations of the UEM, whose president, Vincenzo Mazzi, said: “Once again, this series creates a wonderful opportunity to bring young riders from inside and outside Europe together to experience international racing at an early age. The UEM is very pleased to work together once more with Honda on this project and give the opportunity to young riders to compete at international level.”

He added: “The Honda NSF100 Cup is a great example of the level of commitment from both the UEM and Honda to encourage racing in the younger generations and to develop the potential champions of tomorrow.”

Any young riders seeking a late entry into next weekend’s event are advised immediately to send an email to carlo.fiorani@honda-eu.com, who will forward the request to the UEM.
