Honda’s CRF250R machines in ‘Turkish’ guise…

The Honda CRF250R motorbike ridden by Daniel Craig in the latest installment of the James Bond adventures has just been sold on ebay for over £100,000.

The bike a modified Honda’s CRF250R motorcycle proved to be the machine of choice by the 007 film’s action vehicles and stunt crew team, for the opening scene filmed Istanbul and Adana, Turkey, earlier this year.

The Honda and Skyfallpartnership saw the motorbikes modified and customised into two Turkish guises – a ‘police’ bike and a ‘street merchant’s’ bike – courtesy of Chris Corbould’s award-winning Special Effects team. The Turkish ‘street merchant’s’ bike was ridden by Daniel Craig in pursuit of film’s henchman, Patrice (Ola Rapace) in the opening scenes of the blockbuster film.

Now, following the bike’s donation by Honda to the BBC’s Children in Need appeal these valuable funds wil be helping to swell the funds of this annual charity event even further.
