REVISED YAMAHA MOTORCYCLE MODELS FOR 2013

Yamaha are preparing for the new season by announcing some fabulous enhancements to their comprehensive line-up.

They will launch a number of Supersport, Adventure, Street, Cruiser, Competition and 125cc models featuring new colours, graphics and minor changes.

Race Blu celebrates Yamaha’s race DNA

For 2013 Yamaha will launch a completely new livery that uses an intricate combination of Yamaha Blue and Matt Grey in a special way to create a sophisticated new look. By highlighting selected body parts in Yamaha Blue, our designers have been able to focus attention on various components to give a modern and streetwise image.

To celebrate the launch of the new ‘Race-Blu’ Series, Yamaha Motor Europe have teamed up with Yamaha Motor Racing to create a new-look YZR-M1 factory race bike which will be running in ‘Race-Blu’ inspired livery at this weekend’s MotoGP round at Misano, Italy and at the forthcoming round in Aragon, Spain.

The YZF-R1, YZF-R6 and YZF-R125 will be the first production models to feature the new livery for the 2013 model year. These exclusive ‘Race-Blu’ Series models will feature as an integral part of the Yamaha line-up in future years.

XJ6 gets a refresh

One of the most noticeable changes to the 2013 model XJ6 is its redesigned side panels, which feature a more integrated shape that flows seamlessly into the sculpted fuel tank. Being a naked model with minimal bodywork, the new-look side panels grab your attention and give this iconic 600 a sleeker, more flowing profile. The new design also emphasises the bike’s characteristic ‘mass-forward’ layout, which accentuates its light and aggressive image.

To complement the stylish new side panels, the XJ6 is also fitted with a newly-designed headlight cowl, to give the bike’s front end and profile a lighter look. Together with all of the other small changes introduced for the new season, this compact new assembly serves to emphasise the XJ6’s sporty and agile character.

Blue is back for the Super T too

The XT1200Z Super Ténéré Adventure bike will feature new graphics on both the Competition White and the Yamaha Blue variants.

For this year the aggressively styled Worldcrosser kit will also be available as a retro fit. This kit has been developed to upgrade the standard XT1200Z Super Ténéré. The new Yamaha Blue has been specifically developed for those adventure riders who plan to enhance their Super Ténéré with this kit.

Sports Xenter!

Yamaha Motor Europe and MotoGP series owners Dorna have got together to develop the exclusive new Xenter MotoGP scooter.

Powered by a punchy 4-stroke 125cc liquid-cooled engine, the new Xenter MotoGP is one of Yamaha’s strongest performers in the high wheel class. In addition to its sporty and responsive engine character, the Xenter MotoGP also offers excellent road holding and stability, thanks to its sturdy front forks and Monocross rear suspension. For a smooth ride on uneven and cobbled streets, this fashionable sports scooter is equipped with lightweight 16-inch diameter wheels.

Featuring a sportier design than the standard model, the new Xenter MotoGP offers even more in the way of style and comfort. For an even sleeker profile, this high-performance lightweight is equipped with an exclusive new dark smoke sports screen and a new rear carrier cover. With added wind protection from the new smoked screen, the Xenter MotoGP offers sports style combined with everyday practicality, making it one of the most desirable models in the high-wheel class.

Finished in slick black bodywork and featuring an exclusive MotoGP and Yamaha graphics scheme, the new Xenter MotoGP brings a touch of Grand Prix racing glamour to the 125cc scooter class!

Simon Belton, Yamaha’s Marketing Manager commented ‘Yamaha’s commitment to exceeding our customer’s expectations continues apace and with these refinements to our model ranges, the choices remain many and varied in the Yamaha range! But it’s not all done. The Motorcycle show at Intermot on 2nd October has some more announcements which we think will be worth hearing.

Customers should get along to Motorcycle Live at the end of November where we will have all our 2013 range on display and will advise price and availability too’
