BUILDBASE HONDA HEADS TO SOMERSET FOR SEASON FINALE

Final round - Maxxis ACU British Motocross Championship

Final round – Maxxis ACU British Motocross Championship

After a long and challenging season, the Buildbase Honda team is ready for the final round of the 2013 Maxxis ACU British Motocross Championship as it heads to the historic Farleigh Castle venue in Somerset.

Following the challenges of the previous round, both Brad Anderson and Nico Aubin will be looking for improved results to finish of the season. Aubin slipped from fourth to sixth in the points table last time out at Hawkstone Park while Anderson moved up the ladder.

After a recent operation on a troublesome elbow injury, Aubin will aiming to battle for a top five position after a difficult season. The Frenchman rode for the first time following the operation on Wednesday and felt comfortable on the bike.

Anderson, meanwhile, will seek to maintain his recent form on his Honda CRF machine and challenge for podium finishes. With 24 points between Anderson and Matiss Karro one place above him in the series, a top three finish is the target for the British rider.

Nico Aubin
Following the last event at Culham I’ve had a small operation on my elbow. I was able to ride this week and everything seems to be OK with my arm. The plan for this weekend will be to get three solid results and secure a top five position in the championship. Farleigh is a new track to me but I’m sure that I will be fine and Dave will be offering me some advice.

Brad Anderson
Farleigh Castle is an old-school type of circuit and with me being an old-school type of rider then this weekend should be fun. I really enjoy the track as you can set up passes and get a bit aggressive in the corners. Hopefully I can gain a podium finish this weekend to round off the season.

Dave Thorpe – team manager
Farleigh Castle is famous venue that holds a lot of fond memories for me. The track is very traditional and offers lots of choices to set up passes which will suit Brad’s style of riding. Hopefully this weekend both riders can produce some good results to round off the season in style.
