As Isle of Man TT Superbike race day dawned, the Metzeler Village atmosphere was one of anticipation, as fans enjoyed free, top level camping at the National Sports Arena located near the track action.

Meanwhile on the ‘road’ Guy Martin logged some strong times in practice including a 128.680mph in Superbike and a ‘pole position’ time in Superstock of 127.023mph. His Tyco Suzuki teammate, British Superbike starJosh Brookes stunned the paddock with a 124.476mph Superbike lap in his debut here at the Island.

Also impressing was fellow Metzeler rider Gary Johnson who took the third fastest Superbike time (129.611mph), rapid youngster Dean Harrison and fastest in the Lightweight class; James HillierThe Dainese Superbike race starts at 14.15.

As part of their 150th anniversary celebrations, Metzeler have a strong presence on the Isle of Man throughout the event, with lucky fans being able to camp in comfort in the exclusive Metzeler Village at the National Sports Centre, Douglas.

On the Friday evening, after the Senior TT, Metzeler will then be hosting a huge anniversary party at the Villa Marina Royal Hall in Douglas, open to all bikers. The celebrations continue as the Metzeler sponsored Post TT Races, hosted by the Southern 100, gets underway Saturday evening.
